چکیده
Abstract A Zevatron is an accelerator scheme envisaged to accelerate particles ZeV energies (1 = 10 21 eV). Schemes, most notably the internal shock model, have been proposed explain acceleration of ultra-high-energy cosmic-ray that sporadically detected reaching Earth since 1962. Here, cyclotron auto-resonance (CARA) mechanism tailored and used demonstrate possible ejected as a result violent astrophysical processes such merger binary system or supernova explosion. Such events in emission highly energetic ultra-intense beamed radiation. In simultaneous presence super-strong magnetic field, condition for may be met. Thus CARA can act like booster pre-accelerated inside their progenitor by waves, possibly among other means. As examples, it shown nuclei hydrogen, helium, iron-56, reach CARA, under which conditions particles, while gyrating around lines ultra-strong also surf on waves super-intense radiation field. When radiation-reaction taken into account, energy gained particle fall off less than order -magnitude if resonance missed roughly 20%.

Filamentary Jets as a Cosmic-ray “zevatron”
Strong, anisotropic turbulence reflecting magnetized filaments is considered, to model the diffusive acceleration of particles by shock waves in active galactic nucleus jets. We address that at knot A of the nearby M87 jet, the shock involving the filamentary turbulence can accelerate an iron nucleus to zetta-eV (ZeV; 10 eV) ranges. A smaller value of the particle diffusion coefficient is found...
متن کاملCyclotron Resonance and Quasiparticles
This introductory paper contains personal perspectives about the importance of cyclotron resonance in forming our modern view of solids. The papers following this one will discuss the discovery, refinements, and some of the latest developments. Although I will touch on some of these subjects, I leave the details to the other authors and in the main focus on the conceptual impact of the work. I ...
متن کاملIn Ion-cyclotron Resonance Heating
We determine the conditions under which the damping of the fast Alfven wave, used in the heating of tokamak plasmas, can be described by the geometrical optics approximations. Also, for these conditions, we derive an analytical formula which explicitly determines the amount of energy which is damped onto the plasma particles by the fast wave. The conditions for the validity of the geometrical o...
